Company History

TreeServe is an Australian owned and operated company that was established by the Harris family in 1996 and began operations from a small depot in Smithfield, NSW. The tree business evolved from family members picking up logs from other tree companies around Sydney to split and supply their small firewood and landscape business known as Moona Plains Firewood and Rock King Nursery respectively. Brothers David, Glen and Nick had years of chainsaw and general labouring experience from milling logs for sleeper and firewood on the family farm at Walcha NSW.

Originally trading as Sydney Metro Tree Services our ongoing growth led to geographical expansion which required a rebranding in 2012. The name “TreeServe” successfully captures the business’ passion and commitment to outstanding customer service.

TreeServe built success based on client satisfaction at the core of our priorities. An open and honest delivery partnership underpins a successful outcome for all involved parties. The continuous, measured and steady growth of TreeServe in the last 10 years is testament to the success of this strategy.

Over the years TreeServe has continued to grow through acquisition, innovation and successful tendering. A clear focus on WH&S combined with government contracting in the early days plus a strong desire to implement practical process and programs whilst delivery quality, affordable and productive tree work.

Significant milestones include our first Utility contract for Endeavor Energy in 2012. Implementation of DataServe, a paperless workflow management system in 2013, entry into the Victorian market by acquisition in 2019 and ongoing successful growth to become the largest contractor for Essential Energy in 2023 have secured TreeServe’s future and reputation as one of the leading national tree contractors in Australia.
