TreeServe is committed to the long term development and effectiveness of a working and sustainable environmental management system in order to reduce our company’s impact on the Environment.

Recycling and Waste Minimisation

TreeServe Pty Ltd has focused for many years on developing a sustainable bio-recycling and waste reduction operation both on site and internally at its main depot of operations, including:

• A large 12 acre DA approved depot with green waste storage, recycling and retailing facilities which is the largest retailer of firewood to the Sydney market. This enables all quality logs produced by TreeServe Pty Ltd to be re-used. Waste generated from Firewood production is then turned into Kindling and Mulch which is supplied to Local Councils, School, Landscapers and Garden Suppliers.
• On site DA approved maintenance and truck wash facilities.
• 160,000 Litre on site underground water tank maximizing and recycling storm water run-off for cleaning and watering use.
• On site scrap metal bins.

Provenance and Endemic Seed Collection

TreeServe in conjunction with Harvest Seeds and Native Plants located directly adjacent to our Northern depot at 281 Mona Vale Road TERREY HILLS provides assistance in the practical collection of local native and exotic seed.

Our Northern Sydney Contract Manager and on site team leader liaise with Marina Grassecker – Managing Director in arranging the collection of local native and exotic seed collection from specimens endemic to the local Warringah LGA.

Our company is in the unique position to provide access to multiple species as part of its Tree maintenance services to the council and additionally has the resource capacity to enable the collection of seed to be carried out safely and efficiently. Our qualified Arborists with the use of EWP and Climbing techniques are able to support a vital and environmentally sustainable process. Management at TreeServe approach is extremely supportive of this relationship as the long term benefits of seed collection and banking provide a valuable and vital ecological benefit to the community.
